Different Types of Surveys


Property Boundary Survey:

The property corners are located and staked. Boundary surveys should be done before making any improvements to your property, such as installing fences, room additions, accessory buildings, or concrete installation. After all fieldwork is complete, the client or title company will recieve a drawing depicting what corners were set and what corners were found. Call for Estimate and Price.

 

ALTA/ACSM(American Land Title Association/American Congress on Surveying and Mapping) Land Title Survey:

High standard survey acceptable across the United States; often required much of the time by attorneys, title insurance companies, and real estate brokers when dealing with commercial or extremely valuable property. After all fieldwork is complete, the client or title company will recieve a drawing depicting ALL structures and improvements and what corners were set and what corners were found. Surveyor's Real Property Report(Mortgage Title Inspection):

Performed to tell the size and location of improvements on your property to aid the lender, title insurance company, and owner in making determinations about possible problems that may arise with the property, such as buildings encroaching minimum setbacks, encroaching easements, or other problems. No property corners are staked; usually carries a 6 inch tolerance. Can be done in conjunction with a Property Boundary Survey for more exact location or improvements. Construction Stake-out(Commercial or Residential):

Required by all cities and most entities when a new house or building is going to be constructed. Consists of physically staking the house plan on the property so that the excavator and foundation people cna properly perform their work.
